My Print's Too Dark
Ever get a print back and think it’s way darker than you anticipated? It’s a common problem when printing, especially when you’re starting out. The first step is to turn that screen down, WAY DOWN! 45% is recommended and this will give you a good indication of how your print will look.
We’re so used to seeing an image on screen, and one thing to remember is, we’re looking at something that’s backlit vs a print that is flat and two dimensional. Our recommendation is do all your edits such as spot healing and getting rid of those pesky sensor spots on full brightness and then tone it down when you’re at the final stages before printing so you can adjust the brightness and density.
